headHello, this is Rev. Robert W. Watts.

Our Web Blog is: http://www.hiddenpeoples.org/news/

Most people call me bobby so feel free. I am here to tell you a bit about our mission, our work and our ideas. I was a Christian, then a very good backslider and sinner, then a Christian Missionary. What is the difference between the three? As a Christian, I did Christian things, or what I thought were Christian things. These were mostly American cultural things that were somewhat based on the Bible. Then, I spent a lot of quality time with the Devil and His advocates, doing things to see if God cared or what I was taught even applied. Finally, comming to the end of my rope, lots of people need to go their first, I found out that Christ was always there and more than willing to help me help Him, help the world.

These letters are about that never ending trip to a face to face confrontation with Jesus Christ. He is and has been and ever will be the same. It is all of us who need to come to know what that means and how it applies to our lives.

Walk with my family and I, the missioaries we work with and those who are coming on board as we seek God's will and apply it to our lives.

Bless you and have as pleasant journey as Christ will allow.

GMO altered Corn

Ok, ears the deal,

Good news in cassette tapes. The donation of a duplicator and tapes was so cool and the folks really appreciate hearing God's Word and the music.

I wanted to say thanks for the prayers and donations. I have more for you to pray about as well.

You know that we visit villages and camps and share the Word of God with those that do not know Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior of the world. Doing this, we run into many social problems that we would like to have all the answers about (hard to have all the answers about anything though).

One of the problems we are running into is GMO. Genetically Modified Organisims or Genes. The indigenous folks we deal with, those that come to the camps and work, say on the grape harvest, need to know about Jesus. Some of them then settle in the area and try to grow gardens and that is where the GMO stuff comes in. The indigenous grandmas carry the seeds from place to place and plant gardens wherever they stop. Then, during the harvest, she sorts and chooses the best seeds for the seed bank and carries them till the next planting or garden takes place.

Back to the GMO problem. The unique seeds needed for the area we work in have all been altered. Instead of the local veggies growing, they are not working any more. The seeds the ladies brought up this way worked for a season but they got cross pollinated with American stuff that has a Frankenstein gene that kills them and won't let them grow twice. Wowee, a real scince fiction fact that hurts the poor, fer sure.

So, http://www.nativeseeds.org/ has some seeds that will work because they are original seeds and grown so they don't become Frankensteined and bad.

What does this mean to you?

Well, besides helping the evangelists and pastors, providing used clothes, medicines and food, you could:

1. Sell everything you have, give the money to the poor and join us in the mission field.
2. Send your friends or children or someone you love.
3. Along with the other stuff, cassettes and clothes etc., you could buy some seeds for us so we can do the Global Village.
4. Money always works as well.

Rachel is in charge of the Global Village and if you come or send someone (yer kids?) she will point you or them in the right direction and dig with you or them.

We are starting the Global Village as a retirement home for the Triqui Indians and need seeds to start the seed bank. Give it some thought and prayers.

Lets change the world.

Prayer changes things,

bobby

What is happening today?

Hi, this is a short note about the current work we are doing with the Triqui in Miguel Aleman.

The stuff arrived.
-
Jose Louise was filling all the blanks with Triqui Music and teaching, the stuff that had been asked for by the Triqui for the past year and something.

The copy machine is wonderful and as the team sat around the table making copies, the Triqui said the police would be by soon to check on copyright.
-
They copied all 100 tapes in one sitting (long).

It is such a blessing to have the family down for the week. Ruth, Mercy, Grandpa and Glenn came down.

Grandpa and Glenn are staying with Rachel and I. Rachel and Glenn are doing home schooling. They are studying ASVAB which is the military entrance examination. Since we travel and change duty stations so frequently, we have trouble with continuity though the end result is home schooling graduations and a varied education.

When are you going to send the kids down for vacation to work on the Global Village? They can come for the summer, drive the cars and trucks and ..... well, study, work, pray and hug kids that really need a hug. If you want to send some moms and dads along and they are willing to rough it a bit, you can camp out on the Global Village property. It is really cool in a hot Mexican sort of way.

Is that a good idea or are you guys into suffering, er ... camping?

The grape harvest is on the way. Thousands and thousands of migrant workers are showing up. The problems in Oaxaca are getting more and more serious. The GMO foods are killing their agraculture and the government wants them to stop their small stores and get ready for Wal-Marts, yup, even in Oaxaca.

http://www.radio4all.net/index.php?op=program-info&program_id=20951&nav=&

But then, I don't know if you are into what is happening in the boonies. We deal with it every day because the Triqui can no longer grow their seed corn or their beans and rice. They used to plant and have wonderful gardens, but the big corporations have ended most gardens. That is why we are doing the Global Village and gardens.

Have you ever heard of Roll-n-grow? Austree.com? We could sure use some seeds.

Enough rambling.

What is the Bible about?

What’s it all about?

Money, fame, fortune, what do they give you, what do they leave you. 5 star hotel, Beijing China, I had made it. Plane tickets bought and hotel rooms paid for, I was sent to Beijing to teach the Chinese leaders and students how to use computers in their teaching. Two new handmade suits from Hong Kong, new shoes and equipment and being paid as a hired gun, a consultant for Apple computer, I had it made.

The school, the boys and girls attending Bible College ask me to speak and I speak on Matthew 25:31 and 28:18-20.

The hall was made in different flavors of chocolate flavors. They knew me. They quoted my newsletters to me and reminded me of my history. They asked me to speak so I started speaking and they asked me to come down front so I did.

I told them that the center of the Bible is one verse. Everything before that verse led up to it and everything after was lists of examples of what it meant. Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Rich kids were all around me. They were quoting my news letters back to me and I told them, and believe with my whole heart, mind and soul, that Jesus came back, not to condemn us but to tell us we could have a part of the grandest operation the world has ever seen. You have read about your world wars and your United Nations operations, but this is a God thing, which was meant to involve us in an eternal destiny. Jesus came to put the exclamation point on the Old Testament and make room for examples of what He wanted done. Are you doing what He wanted done? Are you providing food like Mary and Martha, are you providing fish like Peter and Andrew? Are you doing the accounting like Matthew or holding the funds and doing banking like Judas.

I need money, things, clothes, food, so I can continue a journey the Lord invited me on 25 years ago. A journey into the hearts and souls of mankind, to tell them of a world that began without them and will continue with them, be they a part of the good or bad, eternity lasts forever.

I read the book and Jesus gave us the answer to every question we could ever ask. Matthew 25:31 and the following verses tell us what Jesus considers important and why we are here. This is the final examination and though I used to hate final examinations, I loved them when I knew the answer. I love taking exams when I have the answers, and so do you. Jesus told us there would be an examination and he told us the answers. I know you sit and wonder if what you are doing is right in the eyes of the Lord and the Lord, Jesus Christ removed all doubt. Jesus sent Lazarus for the rich man and sent poor people for you. Jesus is not a cruel taskmaster that wants to punish us or impoverish us. He wants to succeed, that is why he left the poor, maimed and deserted on earth for those of us who have something, anything to give.

I want money, things, clothes, and food and I want you to help me get it. Yes, there are Christian businessmen so there can be sent missionaries. Yes, there are doctors; lawyers and judges, so there can be sent missionaries. If you are not part of a 10 family confederation that is supporting missions, join one right away. Get together with those who provide the ammunition, bibles and supplies for the soldiers in this war. When America decided they wanted to end the war in Europe in 1940, America threw everything they had at it. Sure, some used the war as an opportunity to make it rich, just as some in the days of Jesus wore fine robes and preached from tents and gatherings, and some today wear the finest clothes, living in the finest houses, in the name of Jesus as this war goes on. However, the war was won because of the old ladies who collected newspapers and the kids who went without toys, as well as the people who stopped driving and buying tires for their cars. Sacrifice is rewarded in the Kingdom of God and it is expected by all of us.

I want to see a Christian Army well equipped to battle the armies who want to destroy them. They use violence and bombs. They use suicide bombers and fly planes into buildings. Jesus died for them and told us to do the same. Not with guns and bullets, not with knives and war, but with service and love. The enemy believes that dying for the sake of their religion is a good thing to do and they believe that taking a bunch of others with them is key. Christians have often been invited to violence and are often willing to partake. Crusades have been called for in the name of God and Jesus addressed this with His teaching and His life. Jesus went to the Cross and told us to take up ours and follow Him. Are you really following Him?

Everyone is going to die. Please act like you are going to die tomorrow and get your wills and bills and life right with Christ. That is the only way we are ever going to finish the job, which was left to us and let the Lord work through us.

You can get the scriptures to say whatever you want them to. Satan used the scriptures to talk to Jesus. However, taken at face value without much manipulation or adjustments, Jesus said Go, just as Jesus told us what to do for Him in Matthew 25:31.

I am broken now. My knee keeps coming out of joint. My shoulders have arthritis, my back has a crushed disk and I have begun to look like a junkyard wreck. I am worn out. Is it worth it? My, my, my, yes it is for sure.

Life is hard and then you die. Disappointments come and we live in a fallen world. God may choose to make you rich and may choose to give you all of the money the rich man had but I pay you do not stumble over Lazarus, either now or when the Lord returns. We have been told what to expect. We have been told the rules and we know the outcome will be, it is right there, in the Bible, in black and white.

Where are you? Where are you in your life, finances, goals, and commitments? Where are you now? What position do you hold in the service of the Lord?

What do you think?

Why are mission endeavors key?

After coming to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I began to wonder what it was all about. I am a missiologist as well as a historian and I try to find out where we are going by looking at where we have been. Having grown up in the turbulent 60s, I watched the world turn upside down. I watched as our world changed and wondered at how we make decisions, what premise we stand on and where we are going.

This led me to a meeting with Jesus Christ. a Christophany, an apparition, a vision and turning from self destruction, I began to sincerely look around at where I was and where I was going. What in the world was this world about and why are we all here.

Study has brought me in touch with minds throughout the centuries and allowed me to touch base with some really great thinkers, some of whom could not put two thoughts together. I study the people the world now holds up as some of the greatest thinkers and read and re-read their material trying to find out what was so great about what they said and did.

One of these, of course, is Jesus Christ and the Bible that was written as a compilation of all of the thought about God and what was done to create this world. I have studied many foundational thoughts and peered through the veil of history, trying to imagine what people were thinking when they wrote about our world and what we were here for.

many, conceived and then dead, never have the opportunity to think, to ponder what is going on. Others live 60, 70 or even 100 years and write some pretty amazing stuff. i have yet to be satisfied with explanations about what is going on.

I have traveled around the world looking at life through the eyes of many, even trying to see what they see by doing what they do. It can be a pretty confusing place out there and many are unaware that there is life and there are questions about who, what, why, where, when and how things happen. There are some that are just unaware of questions and uncertainties, willing to accept their surroundings without question, drone bees, doing what they understand they are to do without benefit of wonder.

I am unfortunate. I live in my head and watch the world go round, wondering, always wandering through someone else's thoughts, looking for, well, me! I am always finding a different me. I was a confused young man who did not make sense of school, work and life. i became a trained killer in the US Marines and must admit that killing the bad guy without knowing either the bad guy or why is not a very comfortable place to be. I studied the law in the US Army and spent years trying to figure out how others looked at life and why they did what they did, sometimes helping to put them in jail for the rest of their lives. I traveled here and there, doing this and that, trying every sip of the ambrosia of the gods to find peace. None was to be found.

One day, Jesus opened hell and let me have a look. "That is where people go who do not want to know," I was told and it scared the hell out of me. Unfortunately, there seems to be a lot of hell in me and I am to this day fighting a battle that is well documented in the seventh chapter of Romans, in the New Testament of our modern Bible. I am not a worker bee, nor an ant, able to take in the sugar fed most of my companions through the television and radio. Though I find myself making snap judgements, like the snap of a twig, I often write down what I am thinking and then begin to go through it, only to find that someone is playing a game with my mind.

Studying law, especially in the US Army taught me that facts are something someone wants to give you in a very carefully scripted manner. People have goals in mind and give you what they think will get you go believe what they are saying is the whole truth, and nothing but the absolute truth. Yet, I find, after researching the facts that there are always different sides, viewpoints and opinions about the very foundation of the ideas people present as facts.

I am an American, but what kind of American? I was a blood-thirsty killer, looking to shoot anything I was told was enemy. I was a chef, who prepared food the way people wanted it to taste and only after many years of travel and study did I realize I was destroying some foods, removing the nutritional value of the ingredients, just to bring a flavor or a taste that someone was used to. Surprisingly, that same food served in different nations would be called wasted garbage. Often American companies must educate their worker bees in different countries to get them to accept bad food as good, propelling them toward unhealthy lifestyles and certain death all for the sake of a buck or two.

I do not wear a hood, or a mask and I do not rob people with guns or knives. I have voted for some people that have turned out to be real scoundrels and have participated as our country has done some pretty horrible things around the world. I do not believe that my country is right and the rest of the world is wrong so I guess I am somewhat of a radical hawk of one flavor or another. What kind of an American am I? Well, hopefully, one with eyes open, ready to listen to the admonition of other thinkers who often think differently.

I am not very intelligent and make many dumb mistakes which I often lament for years on end. Living inside my head watching myself type, or work or do things, often reminds me that there is another life out there and I will be held accountable for every thought, word and deed. Strange, but looking into the lives of those who are thought to be brilliant, I find some of those very same faults and problems in them as well. Is it possible that we are all cut from the same piece of cloth and only some stand up and look around?

Jesus, the one I try to follow, told his followers and friends, and pretty much anyone who would listen, "Lift up your eyes and see the harvest." Imagine being told by God that you had better open your eyes. I envy the people who can go to church or meetings, singing and laughing and having a good time and when confronted with questions about what they heard an hour or day or week later, they simply cannot remember. They seem to float through life like butterflies on the wind, totally unaware of who they are or where they are or what they are even here for.

I am unfortunate. I ignore the flowers until they become the center of my focus and then I analyze, dissect, number and examine them till I am sure there is nothing I have missed. I am unfortunate because I am writing this at 1 AM simply because the computer was there and someone, unfortunate though they are, asked me what I though.

So that brings us back to what I think, or maybe more appropriately, what am I thinking about. I spend most every second of every hour of every day, thinking about what Jesus said to His disciples and why He said it. What was it the Apostles thought about what Jesus said and what that fellow Paul, who also became an Apostle told others to think about what Jesus though and said. I seem to be blessed to be able to do many things, and some of them quite well, but the word s of Jesus leave me baffled, upset and wondering. Wandering through life, I wonder if I will ever be able to do what He is asking. Will I pass the final exam he offered in the book of Matthew, chapter 25, starting with verse 31? Is it important? Is that a good place to start a new life?

I am on my sixth occupation. This is the sixth time I have totally changed direction and given my all to do something. I have been a missionary, telling people about Jesus for 30 years or so and am amazed at how many people look at the book I read and come up with so many different ideas about what is important. Me? I am interested in acquittal for crimes committed and a good report in the end. I watched recently as a man named Scooter was convicted for not watching what he said by a court of law that really didn't want to convict him. He just wasted thirty years of public service with a conviction for not telling the truth.

What will my end be? I shudder to think of all of the ill I have done and crimes I have perpetrated in the name of love. I thank God for grace and really would like to believe some of the other religions I have studied and even tried to follow. My wouldn't it be nice to have it all figured out and only need to push a button to ensure you were welcomed into heaven. I have no buttons so sadly, I will have to just keep thinking, wondering and wandering through life.

Well, that is what I am thinking.

What do you think?

Hey, we are in Mexico and God is good

-March 1st, 2006

Hello!

How are you? I hope and pray that you are doing well. This is Mercy Watts in Miguel Aleman, Mexico. Things are going pretty well down here and I am almost completely recovered from the accident. You can read about the accident on our Blog, http://www.hiddenpeoples.org/news

One of the biggest changes that is coming is that we will be closing the base in Sierra Vista, dad has triet to get people here involved in missions and it is just too hard to get people to think about missions. This is a hard area to talk about missions in.

News:
1. Oven.
2. Mission.
3. Triqui.
4. Faith Church of Chandler Arizona
5. Needs.
6. Prayers.
7. Thanks.

-Oven:
When Rachel and I left to the United States we asked mance to put on the other two feet of mud that needed to go on the top of the oven, that would make it done, but we had some kind of misunderstanding and mance barely worked on it so it wasn't done. We have worked on it a little while we were here, and hopefully we will be able to finish it today. It seems very difficult to get anything done someties because of the Spiritual Warfare. Directions, explanations and understanding can be really tough so pray for us, OK?

-Mission:
It looks like we might finally be moving down here really soon, so lately we have been moving things away from the fence, where my dad will be coming down with James Showalter's trailer, and will be parking it in right back corner of the property. We are still working on cleaning it out, and getting things organized.

-Triqui:
We have been out visiting a lot of Triqui families, and please keep them in your prayers, because it seems like every ones getting a cold, especially the smaller kids, and most of them don't have any money for any medical help. One of the things we need here every month or so is a doctor, nurses and a trailer of medical supplies with them, that would help a lot so if you could just help us pray for that.

We are still helping the Triqui by giving them what clothes and corn and beans we have left here on the base, we have not been getting much of that kind of donations for them, so please keep that in your prayers too. It seems they have slipped to the back of peoples minds

-Faith Church of Chandler Arizona
Pastor Vince Garcia is bringing a team of youth from Faith Church of Chandler Arizona again this year. We will be focusing on health care and visiting camps. More to come on this later, but they will be coming down on the 11 through the 15th of this month.

-Needs:
1. We just ran out of propane gas about 3 days ago and it will be about 400 pesos (40$) to fill the tank.
2. We ran out of groceries also, and we need about 400 pesos for that each week.
3. Corn, beans and clothes for the Triqui.
4. A medical trailer with a doctor and nurses once a month to check the Triqui.
5. 100 US dollars for gas for the next trip to the base.

-Prayers:
1. Please pray for the flue that's going around, and for those who do catch it, they will have some way to pay for it.
2. The Triqui here we work with could still use corn and beans and clothing, so please keep that in your prayers.
3. We might be going back up to the States in a couple of days to bring down groceries, and donations for the Triqui, or someone will be making a trip down here, so we need 100 dollars for the next trip, so please pray that that will arrive.
4. We were talking about putting telephone lines out here were we are, so that we can run everything from down here and be able to communicate without having to spend a fortune.

Thank you very much for taking your time and reading this letter. Thank you also for all your prayers and support for this mission.

Thank you, God Bless you.

Mercy.

Hey

This is Rachel in Miguel Aleman. I'm here in Miguel Aleman with Mercyand accident wounds are healing pretty good, the infection in Mercy's arm seems to have disappeared, and my ankle bruises are gone, but the cut in my left pinky is still infected and doesn't seem to be healing, but other than that were all (mercy, me, mance's family) doing pretty good. Its starting to get really hot down here, but its not too hot to stand yet, and now I'm gonna tell you about the past week

News:
1. Oven
2. Carving
3. Satellite
4. Visiting Triqui
5. Needs
6. Prayers

Oven
When we left to the states, we asked mance to put some more mud on the top of the oven, but when we got back it wasn't done, so were going to get some more mud up there and finish the oven, so hopefully in my next news letter, I'll be telling you about the first piece of bread that came out of the oven

Carving
When we first got here, we went to see a couple carvers to get a few small carvings done, and the new carver that mance found obviously didn't want to do the carvings or something because he said he would get the carvings done in 2 days, and when we went back to his house, he sent his son out saying that he hadn't worked on it, so were still looking for a replacement to make those carvings soon, so help us pray that we find more carvers

Satellite
We've been setting up the satellite dish that we brought down (that were going to use for internet on the base) for a couple of days now and something seems to be wrong with the hub, so we're going to take the hub back to the states and see what we can do about getting a new one, so please pray with us for another hub

Visiting Triqui
Ever since we've been here, mercy and I have been visiting the Triqui people when we can and have seen the children with their colds and stuff (that seems to be the most common) so whenever we can help them with clothes or corn or beans or whatever we try to do our best, so yeah, we still need clothes, and shoes, and corn and beanse, so whatever you can do to help would be a blessing

Needs
1. Mercy and I might be heading to the states in a few days so we'll need $100 US for gas
2. Clothes and Shoes and food for the Triqui
3. Dog food
4. We just ran out of cooking gas and that will be 400 pesos
5. 400 pesos for Groceries
6. One of the brothers that live a few blocks from here has a daughter that's 26 years old and has the mind of a 3 year old so she uses diapers, but they cost a lot down here, so he asked me to ask our supporters if they could help by either providing money for the diapers or sending some, so please, whatever you can do to help, their very desperate.

Prayers
1. Missionaries around the world
2. The Triqui kids with their colds and any other sicknesses
3. Carvers
4. Mom and her job.

Thank you for reading my letter, and thank you for all your prayers and support.

Rachel.

Hi
It's Me Glenn
How are you all Doing? I am doing mighty fine! Right now I am at the base in Sierra Vista.

The news:
1. Working on James's car.
2. Going to Salvation Army.
3. Going to deliver Package at post office.
4. Alan, Mike and Sandy.

-Working on James's car
Now I finally Dropped the engine Out of the bottom of the car and Pulled it out of underneath the car so it is sitting on the street, and what I am doing to it is I am taking all the parts off of this motor and putting it on the other one because the one we bought is not a all together engine so I am going to take the pars off the one I dropped and put it on the one we bought and than slid it back under the car and put every thing back.

-Going to Salvation Army.
We Got a dryer from salvation army on Thursday, so when I first plugged it in than it worked but than over night I left clothes drying but when I went to check them in the mourning and they where still damp and than I thought maybe someone opened it so I put back on dry and I forgot about.

Then the next day sandy came and said the dryer was not heating so we took it to salvation army to get a refund but the lady would not give us a refund because she didn't know how so she tolled us to come back on Monday.

-Going to deliver Package at post office.
We are trying to get a debit card over to Paul McMullen in Vietnam but we tried to send it Fed ex but the lady would not send it because it was a card and said that they don't allow cards into Vietnam so I went back home on my bike and my dad said that we could try to send it registered from the post office.

So I went to the post office and sent the letter as an ordinary letter forgetting that I had to register it so I went back home and I went back to the post office as quick as I could to get the letter before they sent it so I did get it and registered it and sent it to Vietnam.

-The street people we help
We always have trouble trying to help street people. The reason they are street people is they would rater sleep on the streets than get a place of their own, go to work and take care of themselves. In the USA you can get anything you want, food, clothing and stuff, for free. It is hard to be poor and sleep on the street but it is different than Mexico or Vietnam or whatever, because the street people get lots of food and things. We try to get them jobs and things and that can be really hard. So pray for that too, ok?

-Prayers.
Pray that we can go to Cuauhtmoc and take some clothes and food for the people.
Pray that the card I sent will arrive safely.

Thank you for reading my letter.

Hello!

How are you? I hope and pray that you are all doing well. This is Mercy Watts in Miguel Aleman, Mexico. As most of you have already heard, Rachel and I got here a couple of days ago and on the way down, we got into a pretty bad accident, but thank God, we weren't killed, a couple of bruses here and there, but other than that we are doing fine, and I would like to tell you a little bit about our trip and what happened.

News:
1. Our trip down. http://www.hiddenpeoples.org/TheWreck
2. Hermosillo and arriving in Miguel Aleman.
3. The oven.
4. Prayers.
5. Thanks.

-Our trip down:
Well, we left our place at about 10:30 a.m. and were on our down here, to our Mission base, we prayed on the way out, we were got across the border fine, and we were stopped at the check point, because we got a red light and the guard just checked our vehicle and asked us a couple of questions and then let us go. We stopped at Benjamin Hill for a couple of minutes and we prayed again when we left there, and the trip was going fine.

We were only on the road about 15 minutes, and Rachel was driving on the left lane of the 4 lane road, and as we all know, the left side is usually for passing, so there was a little white car coming up behind us going about 90 mph and we were going about 70. Anyway, I said Rachel get in the right lane so the car can pass you, when she started to get in the right lane, the white car was already right next to us, and we were about two inches from touching the car, so I shouted "Rachel watch out your too close," when she realized that she was so close, she yanked the wheel to the left and then back to the right. When she did that, because of the weight of the load we were carrying, and the roads here are very small, and on both sides, it just drops, really steep, so we rolled about 5 times. After the first roll with the van I passed out.

I woke up about 20 minutes later and there were 3 truck drivers holding me up, apparently they had pulled me out of the car window because my door wouldn't open, the only thing I could think of was, I hope this is a dream, I hope this is a dream, I hope this is a dream. Then Rachel came limping with the help of two other men holding her up, and she kept on saying I'm sorry mercy, I'm sorry, I just said its ok, it was an accident. After we were there for about 15 minutes a military vehicle pulled up with three soldiers and they just asked us questions and made sure we were ok and called the Red Cross and the police. About 20 minutes after, the Red Cross arrived, and a little later the police arrived. When the Red Cross arrived, they helped us into the ambulance and bandaged us up, (I always wanted to be in an ambulance, but not this way, but hey, I got to be in an ambulance) and started to ask us questions, like where we felt pain, and were we dizzy and took our vitals, they didn't charge us either, and then they left shortly after the police arrived.

The police man started asking us all sorts of questions, the usual, what happened, who was driving, why we tipped, were we falling a sleep. We answered all his questions and then he said, here are two options, I can make papers for the accident, and give you ticket because Rachel was driving with out a lisence, or when the tow truck gets here, he will take you into Hermosillo and we can forget that I even came. So to relieve us of more problems, of course we picked the first option, and the police man wanted to clear it with my parents. There were actually two policemen, one stayed with Rachel and the vehicle and the other drove me up to Benjamin Hill, which was the closest town to us, so I could call my parents.

I spoke to my Dad, and at first I was panicking, he said Mercy slow down. I slowed down and told him what had happened, and he was disappointed, because of all the equipment that was damaged, but then relieved that we were ok, well besides a couple of scratches. He gave me some instructions and the police took me back to the accident. I told the police that we wanted option number one, he said ok, and waited until the tow truck arrived, gave him some instructions and then left us, shortly after that. The tow man got the van on the truck and took us to the office in Hermosillo.

The truck is insured but because it is 20 years old (new for us) the insurnace would only buy us an old one. The fees and problem with the police would have taken a year and we would get the money but the fines and problems in Mexico. ...

-Hermosillo and arriving in Miguel Aleman:
We arrived at the towing office in Hermosillo after about an hour and a half, and we already knew the people, because that would have been about the fourth time we have been there, with a different vehicle of course. I called my dad from a pay phone near by because the phone at the office couldn't call out to the U.S. but it could receive calls, so I called and let my dad know we arrived and gave him the number to the office and asked him to call us, because its much cheaper. We got a call from my Dad 15 later, and it was already 8:00p.m. so they were already leaving, the owner of the place offered to drive us to a hotel if we wanted to stay in one, but I told Thank you, but we would like to straighten out what we have in the van. She drove us to the Gas Station so we could get a bight to eat, brought us back, and then went home.

Each night, two men come in, and one stays in the office and take calls and the other man goes out and picks up vehicles with one of the tow trucks. They were both very nice to us, and offered us beds, and they offered to boil water so we could take showers and everything. After we ate our sandwitch's, the battery was going low so the lights were going out in the van, we asked for a flashlight, but they didn't have one, so we didn't have much to do. We felt uncomfortable taking the beds they were offering, so we just tried to sleep in the van, it was difficult and painful, so around 2:30 one of the men had picked up a small car that had an accident, and the seats leaned back, so he offered to let us stay in it, he said it would be much more comfortable. It was, much better, we were able to sleep a little longer until my dad called at 6:00 a.m. and told us that when the office opened to have then take us and the van to Miguel Aleman.

So we did, at 8:00 when everyone got in, they loaded the van up again and drove us to Miguel Aleman. We pulled up in front of the Mission an hour and a half after, and Mance and Maria and Mundo were in the front yard just thinking, wow look at that vehicle, I hope who ever was inside turned out ok, and they didn't realize it was us until we jumped out of the truck, they were very surprised, just like everyone else. We tried to get the tow truck to back in, but the truck wouldn't fit, so Mance offered to have the tow truck take it to his house and we could leave it for a couple of days until we could get it to our property. After I paid the tow man, and he went back to the office in Hermosillo. We took James's van from our property and drove it to Mance's to unload the totaled van, I just wanted to cry, because, we spent 200 dollars buying groceries and supplies for here, and most of it was all mixed in with the dog food, dish soap, laundry soap, and bleach. And then we had all the recent files with us, so that was thrown all over, it will be a little difficult to get them back in the right order, or I should say a lot of work.

Well we were ok besides what scratches I got, I will send some pictures so you all can see how the vehicle turned out and how we turned out. Thank you all for your prayers though, because I think without them we would be gone.

The accident cost us 350.00 (and a van) and dad had to borrow the 350.00 from another account (not ours). Faith takes actions and you never know with faith, because if it is fake and not faith, God won't cover you. Well, two ladies at TMCC were praying and decided to bless our ministry with 350.00. We got it in the bank right away and covered the borrowed money. Now we just need to get the van replaced.

Then, a friend of dad's stopped by and gave 100.00 and so dad told us we can take it for food and whatever. God is so good.

-The Oven:
When Rachel and I left we asked mance to put on the other two feet of mud on the oven when we left and he had not finished. So we started again yesterday and we should be done with it tomorrow.

-Prayers:
1. For Frances and Mathew in Alabama.
2. For the damages that we have to pay for.
3. For groceries for us on the mission once a week, 40 dollars.
4. For the pain that I have on my neck and back.
5. For a vision and want to help those that cant help themselves.

Thank you all for taking your time and reading this letter. Thank you also for all your prayers and support.

Thank you, and God Bless you.

Mercy.

Hey

This is Rachel, and as most of you all already know, I'm in Miguel Aleman with Mercy, and that we got into an accident, so this week I'm writing to tell you mostly about our trip here and the accident, and then what we've done here.

News:
1. Leaving.
2. Inspection Troubles
3. Leaving (again)
4. Accident
5. Night in Hermosillo
6. Taking care of the van
7. Needs
8. Prayers

-Leaving
On the 14th, Mercy and I left the house at about 3pm, because that morning we had gone to Wal-Mart and stuff to get the food and stuff for the base here. So anyway, we left and headed to Naco. We passed Naco and went to Cuautemoc. When we got thee, every one was thankfully home at Lazarus house, so we got out of the van and said hi and stuff ant told them that no one would be back in Sierra Vista for a couple of weeks so we couldn't visit them, and stuff, and then we left and headed for Miguel Aleman.

-Inspection Troubles.
When we got to the inspection place in between Imuris and Naco, we got turner around, so we went to the closest phone booth and called dad and told him that we were told to get a sticker and stuff, and dad said that we didn't need one and to find a way to go around the inspection station, so we went back to Cananea and asked if there was a way to go around the inspection station and the guy said no, we had to go back into the states and go to Nogales, so we told dad and he said to come home, and we would try again tomorrow, so we went home and went to bed.

-Leaving
On the 15th at 10am, we left again (taking Precious and Max) and headed to Mexico through Nogales. When we got to Nogales, it was exactly 12pm so we were on good timing, and had no problems at the border or anything. When we got to the 21 K the inspection guy was saying something about the satellite dish not being personal and that we had to get a paper saying that we could take it across, but then later he said he would let us go this time but we couldn't do it again, so we said thanx and got back on the road.

-Accident
When we got to Benjamin Hill (I had been driving for a while) we stopped to use the bathroom and stuff and then got back on the road again, but its weird because I never wear a seat belt, but going out of the gas station, I stopped and put my seat belt on (miracle) and then went on the high way. When we were about 20 minutes away, I had just passed a semi truck, and mercy said rachel theres a little car that's coming fast and will want to pass, get on the right lane so I turned my signals on and was going right when mercy yelled hes to your right so I jerked the steering wheel left and then right again to get back on the road, but because one wheel had already gotten off the road we flipped, and I think we were there for a couple of minutes because when we came conscious again there were a bunch of people thee and a guy was shaking me saying are you okay?? And at first I didn't say anything because I was shocked, but he kept shaking me and I yelled Im fine so he said get out, and I tried to get out of the window when he pulled the door open, so I got out and realized my ankle hurt, so I bent down and saw that it was swollen, but then mercy went through my head, so I got up and yelled mercy and went around and yelled for mercy, and she was standing there with a bunch of guys, so I went and hugged her, and then heard something about a dog, so I went and saw Max running like a wild animal, and he wouldn't let anyone grab him, so I sat down and was calling him for like 2 minutes when he finally calmed down and let a guy grab him, and he brought him to me, so I carried him to the van and tied him to the bumper.

When the ambulance came, mercy and I got in and found that mercy had a bad right arm because it was cut all over and full of either glass or dirt, and that I had a sprained ankle, and we both had a bunch of bruises all over, so they took care of us, and I got out to go see max and Precious, and then we just sat around till the cops came. When the cop finally came, he asked us a bunch of questions and we answered him, and then he gave us two choices one was to forget about this, he said that he would get us a tow truck and that we would pay the tow truck guy to take us wherever we needed to go and the cops were out of it and the second is that he reports the accident and gives me a big fat juicy fine, so we picked the 1st. so the cop asked us if we needed to make a call, and we told him we neded to call dad, so he let us borrow his cell phone and told us that his phone was for emergencies and that we could only talk for a bit, so I called dad and was trying to explain what was happening, but I was talking fast and crying so he told me to give the phone to mercy, and mercy told him that she would call him in Benjamin Hill, so she and the cop went to Benjamin hill to call dad, and I stayed with the dogs.

When she got back, the tow truck had just arrived, and we talked to him and asked for prices for the towing, and it was cheaper to go to Hermosillo, so the guy loaded the van onto the truck, we got in and headed to Hermosillo.

-Night in Hermosillo
When we got to Hermosillo, it was about 8-8:30 and the guy unloaded the van at the tow station office thingy, and we went into the office and asked if we could make a phone call to the US, and the lady said that we couldn't because the phone couldn't make phone calls out, but she said that there was a phone booth outside where we could call and give dad the number of the office, so mercy agreed and we went out and called dad. After a few minutes, dad called the office and we talked to him and told him we were in Hermosillo, so he told us to ask how much it would cost to tow the van all the way to Miguel Aleman, and the price was 1000 pesos ($100 US) so dad asked when they could do it and we were told that it would have to wait till the morning, so dad said okay and told us to sleep in the van and head to Miguel Aleman in the morning, so we said bye, and we went into the van and went to sleep. At about 12am, the guard came to the van and told us that a car just came in that had more space to sleep in, and that it would be more comfortable, so mercy and I went into the car and that's where we slept until like 7am. When we woke up, we went inside and had coffee and then the tow truck drivers started coming, so the van was loaded onto a truck again and we came back here.

-Taking care of the van
When we got back here, Mance and Maria didn't recognize the van and thought that we were just going by, but when we stopped infront of the gate and we got out, they both looked shocked when they saw mercy's arm and my ankle, so we told them what happened and stuff, and then we tried to make room for the tow truck to come in and dump the van, but because the road in front of the base is small, he couldn't make it into the gate, so mance suggested we take it to his house until we can get it in, and mercy agreed, so mance went with the tow truck to his house, and mercy and Chelo headed to the bank to get out the $300 US, and I stayed there because Maria didn't want me to go anywhere with my ankle like that. When Mercy got back, the tow truck guy had already been here waiting for about 5 minutes, so she paid him and he left. After we talked with Maria for a little longer, she suggested we go over to mance's house and get all the stuff that was saved and bring them back, so we went and got the stuff, and came back.

The really cool thing is that it costed us 350.00 for the accident to get to the base. Dad did not tell anyone how much it was but some ladies from Thunder Mountain Community Church were praying and send dad two envelopes. One had 200.00 and another had 150.00 and that paid for the accident and God is so cool, huh? They got a bunch of praying ladies there (guys too).

Hi
This is Glenn.
Right now I am at the base in Sierra Vista.

The News:
1.Taking out engine on James's car.
2.Going to Salvation Army.
3.Doing laundry.
4.Prayers

-Taking out engine on James's car.
One day Allen and mike went to Busbee and when they
got back the engine was so hot that the heat cracked
the engines head. So we went to talk to the mechanic
to see what we should do he told us that it would be
really expensive to change the heads so we decided we
where Going just switch the engine, So we bought one
from Mike the mechanic the one that lives by our
house.

He only wanted 150 dollars for an engine that would
the car but they wanted to charge 500 to put the thing
in so I tolled my dad that I would do for him. So for
this last week I have been working on the car Trying
to get every thing disconnected finally yesterday I
was about to drop the engine but there was a stick
looking thing that was hooked Up to the axels and that
was holding the engine up from coming all the way
down. And I didn't know how to take it of and it was
Saturday so I could not ask any of the mechanics
because they are closed on Saturday and Sunday so I
have to wait for Monday.

-Going to Salvation Army.
On Thursday Mourning My dad said that we need to try
to get another dryer because the one we had stopped
wasn't working. So we went to Salvation Army to get
another one we found one for 55 dollars and so we
wanted to get it so I got inline and tried to pay for
the dryer but than once the lady charged on my dads
card than she tolled me the owner of the card needs to
be there to sign so they said they returned the money
into the card.

So mike and I went back to the house and got Grandpa
and grandpas card and went to salvation army and we
got the dryer when we got home I plugged it in and it
seemed to work fine so I went inside and sat down and
than sandy came in and said that it isn't heating on
the inside so I looked at it and found out that it is
a natural gas dryer so we took it back and they said
they returned the money on the card so we went home.
After about an hour from being home my dad called my
grandpa and asked him to call salvation army because
they never returned the money into the cards because
the charges where still on the billing list for the
card on the internet so my grandpa called and they
would not do a thing about it.

-Doing laundry.
The next day my dad sent me to do laundry because we
had a lot of laundry that needed to be dried and
washed to so I went to the laundry mat and did all the
laundry and dried and folded them than I went home and
when I got home my mom was home and she had more
laundry for me to do so I went back did them and I
came home.

-Prayers
-Pray that we get another dryer.
-Pray that we can help mike and sandy become
missionary's.

Thank you for reading my letter

News from the kids about the accident

How are you? I hope and pray that you are doing well. This is Mercy and Rachel in Miguel Aleman right now. We had an accident on the way down here, we left yesterday at 10:30 a.m. and we didn't get here until 10:00 a.m. So I would like to tell you a little about our trip.

We left the house with a white van full of files, groceries, computers and tile for the bathroom down there, so we had a heavy load. We were stopped at the 21 K and they just asked us what we had, and then let us go through shortly after that. The whole trip to Benjamin Hill was great, and the roads were pretty empty, so it was good.

Rachel was driving, and she was on the left hand side, and as everyone knows, the left hand side is for passing, so I said Rachel there is a little white car behind you, get on the right side so the guy can pass you, well he must have been going 90 because when she was getting on the right side, the car was already there. She was about two inches from the car, when I said Rachel watch out, when she looked and noticed that she was so close, she yanked the wheel to the left, and then back to the right. These roads are very small and then it drops way down on both sides. When she yanked the wheel back to the right, we went tumbling because we had a heavy load; I think we tumbled about 5 times.

I passed out after the first tumble, because when it got to my side, there was a huge rock that hit my side of the van, and dented it in, and I think that's where I hit my head and passed out. So I have a two inch scratch on my four head, and then two huge bumps on my head, that I think I might of gotten from my head hitting the ground on one of the rounds, because I also got about an inch of dirt on my head.

I must have been out for about 20 minutes, because when I woke up, there where three men around me holding me up, because they had reached in and unbuckled my seat belt and pulled me out, I could barely stand the first couple of minutes, and then the only thing I could think of right then was I hope this is a dream, I hope this is a dream, over and over again. After about thirty minutes after, a military vehicle pulled up with 3 soldiers and helped us as best as they could, and thirty minutes after that the Red Cross dove up and bandaged me up and bandaged Rachel's left ankle because she had sprained it and bruised her right knee. Thirty minutes after that, the highway patrol pulled up and the good thing about that part was that he didn't charge us with anything, he called the tow truck and let us go, so I really thank God for that one.

After I got out of the van I started to feel stings on my right elbow and when I looked, I had cuts from my wrist all the way up to my elbow, and it was really bad around my elbow. It looked like someone took a knife and stabbed me 70 times, smaller of course, but that's what it looks like, and I have no idea what happened. Then I got my left hand scratched up, and then its purple on my right shoulder, where I think I might of hit it on the door, that hurts because I can lift my right arm very high, and then I have a purple mark on my back waist line, and I don't know how I got that either.

Other than that we are very well, the dogs made it fine and most of the things made it. The groceries didn't, so we'll need more of that. My dad said that everyone was worried, so I thought I would just let you know what happened and that we are ok.

Thank you all for your prayers, and we will continue to write so you can know what is going on with us.

Thank you,
God Bless you.

Oh yes, I heard from my dad that Frannie is getting married in the morning, tomorrow or the next day. That way everything is in the past and she and Matt can start a new life. Dad called them and blessed them so they can start new. Frannie will be a married woman now and her past is past.

Mercy.

Hey Bobby,

This is Rachel watts, and I'm writing you all about the accident I had coming down to Miguel Aleman, Sonora, Mexico on Wednesday, February, 15th, 2006:

Mercy (my sister) and I were going down the road on the way to Miguel Aleman, and we had just passed Benjamin Hill (for those of you who know the roads here), well not just passed, we were about 20 minutes away, when mercy said

´Rachel there's a car behind you that's coming very quickly, get on the right lane´ so I turned my signals on to turn right and was going right when mercy yelled ´he's to your right´ so I jerked the steering wheel left, and then right, but the front left tire had already gotten off of the highway, so we flipped, and I think about the second roll, I blacked out, I forgot everything that happened, and then I heard a guy say ´are you okay? And I didn't respond right away so he gave me a shake, and I as hurting so I yelled ´I'm fine´ and he told me that I had to get out of there, so I was going to get out of the window when the guy opened the door for me, so I climbed out and realized that my left leg hurt from the knee down, but the firs thing I could think about was ´Mercy´ so I walked around to the other side, and mercy was standing there, so I went to see her and we hugged and we were both spooked, so we were crying, and then I heard one of the guys talking about a dog, so I limped over to max and tried to calm him down and he was scared too, so I carried him back to the van and mercy and I just stood there until the ambulance came.

When they came, we went to the ambulance van thingy and the guy said that I had a sprained ankle, so he put a cast on it and asked me if we had a doctor where we were going, and I said yes, so he said that that was how he would leave it, and then Dr. Gustavo could get a x-ray and stuff and see what else we needed, and then mercy came in and got her arm looked at, and it seemed to have glass in it or something, so she got it cleaned and bandaged and we got out of the ambulance and started talking to the cops.

We told the cop everything and he gave us two choices. 1 was to not put the accident in the records and just let us go because I didn't have a license, and the second was to put it in the record, take the van and do whatever they do, and give me a big juicy fine. Mercy picked the first, so he asked how we were going to call and we told them we didn't have a cell phone, so the cop let us borrow his cell phone and we called dad, and I was telling my dad about what was happening and stuff but I was crying so dad couldn't understand me. I gave the phone to mercy and she told dad that we didn't have time to talk on the cell phone, so mercy left me with the dogs and mercy went with the cop to a public phone.

Later on she came back, and said we had to take the van to Benjamin hill, so we asked for the price of the tow truck, and it was the same to Hermosillo as it was to Benjamin hill, so we went to Hermosillo, and that's where we spent the night. This morning we got it here, and now it's parked at Manse's house. Well I have to go now because its late, but we'll keep in contact.

The van is gone, everything is broken or smashed. The computers seemed to make it ok but the food didn't. A tub of glue was spilled and got a lot of file folders stuck but the files we took to work on seemed to make it. We will need more food but everything but the van seemed to make it. We have two broken vans, one broken car and now this van is gone.

Frannie is getting married tomorrow so maybe you can encourage her. Dad sent you her address and phone number.

Rachel

Yes, it is worth it

Mercy, having decided to go to the base in Mexico and set up the starband so we can teach school to the Triqui, let Rachel drive. Rachel is a good driver but made a misake. The road to the base, Mexico 15, is a lawless road where there are lots of accidents and the road is not the best, even somewhat challenging. Rachel was driving and lost cntrol of the Chevy one ton van. The van rolled 5 times. Mercy and Rachel are bruised. Mercy hit her head and will be going to the doctor today to make sure everything is ok. They were wearing their seat belts.

The police can be very difficult but since we seem to know them over the years by constantly being stopped with corn, beans and food for the Triqui they often give us a break. The police, needing to fill out forms told the girls that this was going to be a bit expensive for them because of the paperwork, court appointments and need to explain what was going on. Mercy and Rachel speak Mexican Spanish fluently and the police decided it would be better to look the other way (grace) and let the girls put the now totally wrecked van on a tow truck. We were taking things to the Triqui and the Mexican Government does not like that very much.

The girls rode in the tow truck to Hermosillo and the van is sitting in the tow yard there. The only vehicle we had that was in good shape is now gone. We are not ones who get hotel rooms and since we are a bit short on cash, the girls slept in the Van last night. A bit cold but they are ok. Tired and sore and on their way for a checkup in Mexico with a doctor who is our friend, this afternoon.

Mercy and Rachel were carrying a donated Starband Satellite system to put the Triqui on the internet so the Triqui could talk to you. Of course, there is a bit of time and training between them turning the computer on and talking to you, since the Triqui do not speak Spanish but we think they need an opportunity. Opportunity is what we are in business for. An opportunity to know about Jesus and share the Gospel with others. Frances was trained to start a Global Village in Miguel Aleman for the Triqui and Mercy was carrying donated computers, the Starband internet connection and supplies for the Global Village. Satan does not like that much.

We do not know what happend to the equipment they took down. I am boring, I know. First question was about the health of the girls, second was the status on the van and third was about the school. The little kid born in a house made of blankets at the end of the road is always, always in my mind. I stood on a mountain top in Germany, a place people spend millions of dollars to get to and realized that selfishness and sight seeing were not what I was made for. I have been to the bottom of the ocean scuba diving and though it is pretty, I know we were not made just to go and see whatever we want to see.

So, the end of the story? No end in sight as long as there are people in need, but for right now, Mercy is ok, cut on her face, scrapes on her arm and a slight headache. Rachel is ok though her ankle is bruised and hurting. The guard dog we were taking down seems to have thought this was an exciting joy ride and the van will make a good storage shed. Pictures will be on the web site. The equipment tends to be a bit finniky and computers do not enjoy being banged about so we will see if there is anything left. The tow truck will take the van to the base this morning and life will go on. Satan got us for the van, the equipment and some of the supplies. We won't stop.

Theodore, Ruth, Glenn and I were sitting talking about the near death experience Mercy and Rachel just went through, Frannie and the street people we work with. By the way, one of the people who is homeless here in Sierra Vista showed up. We had helped him get a drivers license, bank account and gave them some hope of getting a house, job and getting off the street. Well this fellow showed up asking what he could do and it was so encouraging to me. He offered to drive down to Mexico (our vehicle and gass, but still the offer was cool). He wanted to encourage the girls. Anyway, is it worth it? Mercy and Rachel are cold and hungry and sitting in a junk yard this morning. Is it worth it?

Is all this pain and trouble worth the effort? 20 minutes away, in Mexico, there are people who have.... nothing. here in Sierra Vista, there are may homeless and hurting. Miguel Aleman and the Triqui. Is it worth it?

Yes, it is worth it.

bobby

My sins

First, an emergency. Rachel crashed in Mexico, just called me on a mobile phone and destroyed the White Van we have. I don't know what to do or what it will cost or what needs to be done. Rachel and Mercy are OK but she was crying and saying she "slipped the van, and ran out of tme on the phone. Life is full of surprises so do all you can for everyone you can, today. This has not been a good day. Being a missionary is not a weekend job.

This is a thoughtful apology.

I have been approached by a brother who really cares, someone who puts their life on the line and denies themselves just to keep us going in the mission field. This is a prayed through and thoughtful apology. I was hurt and said some things I should not have said. I was wrong and I am sorry.

As missionaries, to closed countries, we taught our children to lie. Is there another way to look at things when asked questions? Do Christians lie? Can we lie? Boy, these are theological questions which are really deep and I suggest you ask Brother Andrew and some of the pastors we work with who live in not quite so comfortable situations.

This is a sensitive situation because people always take things wrong. We smuggle bibles, babies and things into closed countries and talk about what we are going to say before we say it. Frannie has learned well and I am an adept liar and legalist. Do we smuggle bibles? Yes we do, lots of them, unless you are a Communist guard, then we are not. Difficult, huh?

My sin and the reason for this apology is that I wrote letters concerning Frannie, some things she has done (according to my point of view) and confessed her sins for her. I have been fasting and praying about this because I am so stupid that I often seem to start arguments between me, myself and I, let alone you and I or you and your friends.

Boy, I have sinned and as a mission director, team leader, I can only see how bad it is if I assumed that it had happened to me by others. Then, since it has, remembering how it felt, even if people are right. I still have people out there who have known me for many years and they hate me. I hear about them once in a while because someone who knows someone asks me if I really did do something wrong. Some of them are so convinced that I am a criminal that I belong in jail and I do, in some countries. I am wanted in China, Vietnam, the mountains of the Philippines and if I get my way, I will be wanted in Baghdad as well.

I was so busy trying to cover my own life that I published info I had no right to publish. I chose to hurt but I use words like "weekend warriors," and "part time Christians," for those that are not full time missionaries and I understand that this "hurts," My wife and I are often careful of who we fellowship with because our commitment and lifestyle cause pain in some that we have nothing to do with.

So, no justification, really, I am a sinner and have sinned again. I confessed my daughter's sins as I saw them. Love covers a multitude of sins and I need to learn to love. I have spoken of her choices, her leading, and her lifestyle as though they were wrong when she is the one who must stand and choose to decide if she is wrong or not. I hurt her, her fiancée and future in-laws and probably you.

I am sorry, I will watch my mouth and keep quiet.
How do I want you to look at Frannie? She is a really well trained, well qualified missionary. She is a child of God, working out her salvation and walk before God. Love her, support her and encourage her.

Bobby's 2006 message.....

This is the first news of 2006,

It is 4 AM and I cannot sleep. I had intended to write this years recap sooner but so many things are up in the air. So, let me start by saying that I do pray you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Sitting here without the heat on, nub at the edges, makes concentration much easier. No phone calls, no chat, no one asking questions or seeking praise, this time is peaceful for me. Much easier to listen to God breathe and think about.. well, everything.

As I sit here in relative comfort, (we are staying in an office, made up with a fold out couch and bunk-beds) I wonder. Somewhere in the recesses of my mind is the little girl that lives along side the road on the way to Guangzhou in China. When I knew her, she and her family lived in a mud hut, used a bucket for a toilet and share cropped a piece of land with several other families who were also eking out a living. Then there is the fellow in Vietnam who has no arms, the baby in Cuauhtémoc who has no food and of course, the baby in Miguel Aleman who was born on the floor of a blanket house at the end of the road. I am so sad because I want to help them.

I am surrounded by people who speak of vacation as though it is something they deserve, new clothes as though they are a necessity and money, as though it is air that one cannot live without. There are so many who speak about relaxation, rest and comfort as though these were the goals that were to lead and motivate our lives. Denying oneself, taking up a cross, seeking to save those that are lost at any cost, are so strange a concept in the comfort of most people's lives. America, American Christianity, American lives are looked at as though there indeed Grimm Fairy tails by those so near who have so little.

This last year I have been truly blessed. There was no war here in Sierra Vista, and only a few have given their lives in the military service at the Army base so close by. We have eaten whenever we wanted (whatever was given us) and owe only a few people for funds we have borrowed to help others in need. This last year, I attended college in several prestigious instructions through the Internet and Dish TV. Though it is not convenient to do that, one can learn some amazing things about oneself and the world around, by choosing to learn and not just consume information. I learned about a 10.5 million dollar operation on a child at the University of Washington Medical Institute and saw how they took a premature medically challenged little girl and rebuilt her in the womb so she might have a chance at growing up, wondering about the ethics of spending so much on so few while the world has so many who have nothing. Sigh, each religion, good person and group has an inbuilt desire to help the poor that it doesn't take much to spark an interest in helping people but we have such a profound ability to spend so much money on the one hand while the other is shriveling away and writhing in pain.

This last year provided some serious disappointments that will, unfortunately hurt people who really need a break. Though I desire with my whole heart mind and being to help people, it takes teamwork to change things. Pastor Roy, who had such a strong desire and was so zealous at helping the Cuauhtémoc people, has decided that he is too busy trying to live in America to take time to drive 20 miles into Mexico to help them there. We do not have a replacement so unfortunately, we can only help by praying and possibly, just possibly, finding someone who will feel for, hurt for and help in that village. Frances has decided to live in Alabama and work at a church there. She has found another boy that she cannot do without and has decided to think for herself. She was a really good frontline missionary and the folks in Miguel Aleman will miss her. And, we are still waiting for the Miguel Aleman disciples to start the bakery...... a process that ended when I came up to the USA.

Remember a couple of years ago when Ruth was trying to get her papers? We were attacked in a very vicious manner by a fellow brother who though that we were doing him harm. I was living in Miguel Aleman and Ruth was living and working here in Sierra Vista. We so need an office in the USA and do not have a mission who can handle the sometimes-immense amount of paperwork, communications and logistics we need. I came back to the USA from Mexico to get things straightened out and we bounced from place to place, being chased out of one building into another, trying to get something more permanent here in Sierra Vista. Well, I would like to say that I have succeeded in establishing a "home" for our ministry but I have not. We still wander without an anchor though in the light of those we help, we have accomplished a whole lot.

Some really, really great news? Paul McMullen is in Vietnam and I envy him there. He is doing some very dangerous work and that warms my heart to have been an enabling part of seeing him get there. James Showalter will be a daddy soon, and remembering him as a single man with lots and lots of problems, I also envy him as he lives and works in the Philippines, with Julie his wife. Then there is Dora, and you would need to go way back for this one, she was a girl who came to work with us and the only English word she knew was "No." Well, as the wife of another disciple from America, Ray Tewksbury, you will be pleased to know that she still works for the Lord, is still focused on ministry and still in China, though she could be in the USA, living the good life.

Grandpa? Well Theodore and I met in 1979, when I first took steps to being a full time missionary and we have been together ever since. Grandpa adopted me and I adopted him. He cared for me when I was ill, prayed for me as I made decisions and other than being the most cantankerous old man I have ever met, been the very best of friends. Grandpa has slipped a few gears and if we have hurt you by not responding to some request or sending some receipt, please forgive us. Grandpa had been in charge of the finances, filing and general communications these past .... 26 years. Just this past week, we have taken the torch from him on the filing and accounting because things had become, have become and are, misplaced, confused and sometimes simply lost. Frannie is out of the picture but Mercy, Rachel and Glenn have pulled in and have been doing a really great job at locating, logging and answering some serious questions about our work. We have filed for a 501c3 for our All Nations AZ but have not received the federal approval. We have become too big to fit under someone else's umbrella and have built out own thatched roof. We are waiting for the government of the USA to tell us we are real and then we will make even more changes.

Pray for Grandpa as he changes gears going down hill. We want him to enjoy every day of the rest of his life and intend to make them as joyful as possible.

Other good news is often offset by sadness. Many of our supporters are doing well. Some of them are growing in their businesses and have established themselves in really peaceful, warm and comfortable surroundings. I thank God for them because they are often, literally, bread and butter for the people we help, and there are always people to help. Sadly though, there are many who have lost their jobs, their retirement, their struggled for security. As I watched it coming, I often spoke of the shortcomings here in America and the great change that is at our doorstep and have been taken for someone who does not like America. Sadly, because we are number one at war, deficits and corporate spending, out of 27 of the richest nations, we are 27th in health care (if you can get it), 23rd in assistance for minorities and those in of relief from disasters and a society without savings (again, this has happened many times and sometimes disastrously). Having been a Marine and a soldier in the Army, I would not hesitate to give my life for my country but pointing out flaws often leads people to believe I don't like my country.

I have watched as many have let their outgo exceed their income and their desires overwhelm their common sense (like our government) to the destruction of their families, vision and, most importantly their ability to bless others.

The future? As I see it, the pain of coming out of Vietnam, teaching at the Bible College and being consumed with paperwork so Ruth can leave America and work I the mission may soon be over. Thanks to a gracious donation of Starband to our team, we can move to Miguel Aleman, establish operations there and offer hope and help to the poorest of the poor Mexicans, or so the Mexicans think anyway, the Triqui Indians. Funny how, when you study history, you see pockets and groups of people, like puddles in the road, and then watch in amazement as people get out pencil and ruler and draw lines right through them, saying that this is now one place and that other side, with half the puddles, is another. That is what happened to the Indians in the USA. I am often amused at the ability to stand in one spot and be in four states at once, as it was in New Jersey and again in Four Corners, knowing that the people who live in the houses all around me are of one tribe. This becomes painful though when it is countries that draw the line and then put fences and guns between the houses, people and families.

Well, Frannie has made the move to Alabama and at least now, we needn't wonder if she is going to stay or go. Mercy has grown a bunch watching all of this as has her sister Rachel and brother Glenn. To see someone involved in missions 24 hours a day, choose to become a weekend warrior is shocking, amusing, painful, troubling and a whole lotta more words that are hard to express. Still, she is only one of many, many disciples who find a need to be a bit more at ease, comfortable and at peace than those who live with their hat in their hands, knowing their house is where they hang their hat.

We had, as a mission asked the Lord if we were to buy the piece of property and office where we currently are and there has been no indication that we are to stay and buy it or another piece of property. Many churches have been built around us in the past few years, but there is no interest in a mission base. So, with hat in hand, we are looking down the road toward........ Miguel Aleman.

Praise the Lord, we have three workers at the base who have arrived in great need. Street people without papers and a viable means of survival, they have taken advantage of our hospitality, training and connections to re-establish themselves with ID, bank accounts and Social Security Cards. All of which, unless you have not had them for a while, are so important to being "real" in America. Our business contacts are letting them practice at being employees again instead of welfare recipients and really, it appears as though they are actually gonna make "it," whatever "it" is. Hopefully, of course, they will become units of production instead of consumption and their income will exceed their outgo so they can be a blessing to others. I hope?

So, the plan? Well, the plan is to move the stuff that we have accumulated over the last two years, trailers, things and such, to somewhere where it will do someone good. And, then, being free of the "stuff" that so easily comes but often becomes a cage rather than a blessing, we can make the jump to Miguel Aleman and have more to give to those who have more need than our current neighbors. This, of course, depends a whole lot on your prayers, and the grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ, fer sure.

There was a man who lived next to a drunken selfish neighbor. Each night, when the drunk came home, he would take off his boots and throw one, after another, against the wall of the house. The racket was so loud that everyone I the neighborhood was rudely awaken by the noise till it got to the point where they all simply sat around waiting for the second boot to hit the wall so they could all go to sleep. Well, one evening, one at a time, the neighbors found themselves standing outside the drunken man's house. He had gotten so drunk that he, having taken his boots off, had only thrown one boot, collapsing in a drunken stupor, unable to throw the second. The neighbors, in frustration, finally shouted, "Please throw the second boot," only desiring a finality to the pain of waiting for the noise. We have heard the second boot. Now we can plan for our future.

Frannie has made a choice, James is in the Philippines, we cannot purchase this property and Grandpa cannot continue as our accountant and filing center. So, since the second boot in all of its glory, muck and pain has hit the wall, we will be moving. Please pray for Ruth through all of this because each of us has desires to see things happen and my desire is to be surrounded by those who need help. Sometimes, the comfort of a warm bed on a cold night can be an overwhelming temptation to not get up and pray. You know what I mean? Sometimes being a Christian and a son of the King encourages us to take the offering of comfort over self denial and self sacrifice, helping us settle for a race that is not quite so long and difficult. Sometimes the race we run can be run with ease.

You? What do I want from you? I covet your prayers as I continue on this insane journey to give one cold worthless human being the opportunity to fight off the corporations, the world who so wants to enslave them in poverty and worthlessness and allow them the opportunity to stand up and let the world know that they too can make a difference. Benito Juarez, Madelyn Albright and many others come to mind here, as well as Aaron, Ha and the many we have personally helped go from poverty to production and yes, even leadership of their tribes, villages maybe sometime, their countries. I do not write often because my joy is overwhelming and my pain deathly. I often fluctuate between Heaven and Hell as I work for the Lord, feeling both first hand. The violence of dead babies and immense pain hurt so much and yet, the ability to sit in the lap of luxury, afforded me because of a passport, an opportunity and friends, sometimes overwhelms me. Why do I have the right, the ability to go from the Hell of poverty and pain to the heaven of an American mega church service I will never know. So I covet your prayers that I might continue to choose to help those who are dieing to meet Jesus.

Yes, this is a long letter and yet, as you read this, I pray that you will become more fervent in your desire, if not to go to those who are in so much need, but support others who hear this clarion call. If you can't fight, carry swords, if you can't carry swords, make them, if you cannot do any of them, pray that others can, pray fervently.

Please visit http://www.hiddenpeoples.org, visit our friends around the world, pick a project and see if you can help someone in one of those nations, please.

What do we do?

This is just a course check, a one-year visual observation of how we are doing as a mission team.

The Copala Trique are an unreached people group that need an indigenous church planting church. There seems to be one going on up in San Quintín in Baja California and there may be one in Copala. We have been working in Miguel Aleman for a few years now and there is still no indigenous Trique Church reaching out to the Trique and planting other churches. Then, with Paul going to Vietnam, he will be checking on the churches we started and work with there. Paul may get a chance to go to China and vsit the churches as well as the churches we started in the Philippines. It wll be good to get reports on what is happening.

The course of action is really quite simple for folks and churches. 2 Tim 2:2. Give them Jesus in their own language. It only seems to be problematic when people stop making disciples, then it is the building or the music or the "extras" that become important

1. We cover the four spiritual laws, make sure they are understood and applied
2. We cover the 10 commandments and make sure people know they are not suggestions.
3. We teach the Seven Basic commandments of Christ.

1. Repent of your sins, Believe Jesus is God. mark 1:15
2. Be Baptized right away (if possible) Acts 2:38
3. Love one another (this is key and the most work) John 13:24
4. Participate in the Lord's Supper: Luke 22: 17-20
5. Pray without ceasing because God is the answer. John 16:24
6. Give to the poor. Matthew 6:19-21
7. Witness, tell others about your faith in God, Lead them to the Lord. Matthew 28:18-20

4. Gather with a group of believers and be a part of the "Go."

1. Seek out male heads of the house.
2. Baptize all without delay.
3. Organize a provisional board of elders right away.
4. Enroll them in classes right away.
5. Give them a checklist of these items to follow and check their course.

Now, in the course of things, if we are able to do a lot of personal stuff, get our lives arranged and live a bit better or stop and smell the roses (but not at the expense of the lost or the poor), we do that. Everything we do personally is secondary to the call of God in our lives.

Ok, that is what is up with us. Now it is time for you to tell us what is happening with you. How can we bless you? What can we do for you?

February 11, 2006

Hello!

How are you? I hope and pray that you are all doing well. This is Mercy Watts and I am in Sierra Vista, AZ right now, with my family, and we are doing well. I have a little good news about Abraham in Ejido Cuauhtémoc, and I had a good week, so I would like to tell you a little about that, so here goes.

News:
1. Abraham from Ejido Cuauhtémoc.
2. The oven.
3. 2006 Filing.
4. Working with my Mom.
5. Needs list.
6. Prayers.
7. Thanks.
-Abraham from Ejido Cuauhtémoc:
I don't know if you read my last letter, but in my last letter I mentioned that Abraham's appointment to have his operation was on the 10th of this month, and we were going to help them by giving them a ride and a place to stay or 1000 pesos and a place to stay. We have been having trouble with the vehicles lately so we couldn't make a trip down to Miguel Aleman just yet, but Abraham had to be there. We had no money so instead we prayed for the 100 dollars so that Abraham and his Dad could go to Hermosillo, and later on, on Wednesday afternoon we received a check for 100.00 dollars. That evening, Mike, Sandy and I went to Food City to buy some groceries for Cuauhtémoc, and then we headed for Cuauhtémoc.

We arrived about an hour after, and it seems like every time I make trips to Cuauhtémoc, I seem to get there really late, and so I did this time too. It was 10:00 p.m. when we got there and I had to bang on the door and a couple of windows to get them up. When they got up, we unloaded the groceries and then handed him the 1000 pesos and told him that he could go to Miguel Aleman and spend the night on the base, and leave early the next day to get Abraham operated on. He said yes, we stayed for a couple more minutes, just finding out, what's been going on lately, and after that we went home.

-The Oven:
When Rachel and I came up, I left instructions on the oven, so that Mance could finish building it. The day after we arrived here, I spoke to Mance again on the Internet and asked him if he had finished the oven and he said no. So I left instructions and told him again, and I have not spoken or chatted with him since, so I will let you know when I get any further news on it.

-2006 Filing:
My Grandpa Theodore usually does the filing and recipes and thing like that, but he has been a little forgetful, and it has been very difficult to find a file we needed, or a receipt. So my dad took away all the files from my Grandpa for right now, and we are taking every file, and putting a document number on it and the file that it is going to be on and a tracking number. All that information will be put into the computer, so that when we are looking for something, all we have to do is type in a name, and it should give us information like where it would be. That is actually one of the reasons why we are not going to Mexico.

-Working with my Mother:
Yesterday, while my mother was at work, one of the seniors had past away, and she didn't want to be there alone all night, and so she asked us to come stay with her. While we were there we helped, with dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and what ever else we could do to help, while she slept a little, because this shift was 16 hours.

-Needs List:
1. Dog Food.
2. Toilet paper.
3. Coffee.
4. Creamer.
5. Sugar.
6. All food.
7. Fresh Vegetables.
8. Bucket of Laundry soap.
9. Dish Soap.
10. Sponges for dishes.
11. Dog Shampoo.
12. Plastic tablecloths / large, the tables are rotting.
13. Shampoo and Conditioner.
14. Soap.
15. Lotion / lots.
-Prayers:
1. Please pray that everything will work out with Abraham and his father, and that while they are there,
2. Please pray that the Lord will send the right Triqui team leader to lead the Triqui's in their own language.
3. Please pray that we would get the things we need on the list for Mexico.
-Thanks:
Thank you all for taking your time and reading my letter and thank you also for your prayers and support. Please continue to support us and keep us in your prayers=.

Thank you,
God Bless you.

Mercy

------------------------------------------------------------

Hello

This is Rachel, and I'm still in Arizona with my family...yes I know last week I said that mercy and I were supposed to go back to Miguel Aleman, but things changed this week because of some filing problems.

News
1. Allen
2. Fannie
3. Little car
4. Cuauhtémoc
5. Needs
6. Prayers
Allen
On Wednesday afternoon at about 1, Allen came through the door and sat by my dad and started to explain about where he went and stuff and that he was out drinking because he lost the 80 dollars that Mike had given him (to go buy drugs), but anyway, he told dad that he was ready to get back to work on whatever needed to be done, so dad called Mike in and asked him what he needed Allen to do and he said that the trailers needed to get worked on, so Glenn, Allen and Mike went outside and started working on the trailer (there was a gas leak) so they were working for about 15 minutes when Mike barged in and announced that he had lost his wallet, so we all went outside looking for it and no one could find it (by then Allen had left). So dad sat Mike down and asked him how he lost it, and it apparently fell out of his pocket when he went under the trailer and when he got up didn't see it, so he went to the other side and when he got up he'd realized that he didn't have his wallet, so he looked around the trailer, and it wasn't there, so he was telling dad that every thing had been fine while Allen was gone... and then he appears and a wallet disappears, so dad talked to Mike and asked him what he wanted to do and he said that he could make decisions for dad. So in the end, he stayed and he's still here, so just pray that he'll stop with his deceptions and just learn to work with other people.

Fannies
Last week I wrote about fannies, but I don't think it made it into the news letter because it was kind of late, but what I said in the other letter is this: fannies and Matt have been gone now for about 2 weeks, they were supposed to be back yesterday, but they decided they waned to come back on the 9th of next month. I mean that's okay and everything that she wants to get to know matt and stuff before they get married, but were short on missionaries and its a very bad time to take a vacation, and then it seems that fannies has guy problems, because I'm sure you all remember Aaron Stephens (the one she was going to marry last year) and they weren't through that long before she decided to marry matt. So please pray for her because she really needs guidance right now to do the right thing

Little car
Ever since Wednesday (when Allen got back) Glenn and Allen have been slowly working on the little stick-shift car that James gave my dad, but they haven't gotten the engine out and switched with the new one.

Cuauhtémoc
On Wednesday night, Mercy went to Cuauhtémoc with Mike and Sandi to give Abraham and his dad 100 dollars for them to use to go to Hermosillo on a bus because we couldn't take them, so by now, Abraham should be somewhere in the operating room getting his thing done, so please pray with us that he gets out alive and well.

Needs

Prayers
1. Pray for Fannie while she's in Alabama.
2. Pray for Enoch's Grandmother
3. Pray for Abraham
4. Paul in Vietnam
5. Enoch in Guatemala
thanks for reading
Rachel

-------------------------------------------------------------

Hey

What's up? I am doing really cool! Oh yea this is Glenn by the way Right now I am at the base here in Sierra Vista.

The News:
1. Allen Coming Back
2. Document Control
3. Dump Run.
4. Surplus City.
-Allen Coming Back
We where all sitting in the office Tuesday mourning Allen came waling and tolled my dad that he wanted to start working with us again So my dad tolled Allen to Go work on The Trailer With Mike, What they are doing on the trailers is they are fixing them up so someone can live in Them.

-Document Control
We where looking for a file so we went and asked my grandpa and it took him for ever to find it so my dad got sick of waiting every time he asked for a file so he tolled Mercy Rachel And I To work on the Document Control, so Mercy and Rachel would put the documents into the computers and I would make the new files

-Dump Run.
We woke up made breakfast and than went into the mourning meeting that we have with all the staff every mourning and my dad tolled Allen that he needed to go and fill the truck full of trash so that mike Allen and I could go to the dump so When he got it loaded we went to the dump when we where unloading the Truck Mike noticed there where three perfectly good water heaters sitting by the gate at the dump and mike went over and asked the people that worked if we could have the water heaters they said we could not have them but they gave us 1and after that we went home.

-Surplus City
Mike was working on one of the gates that we needed some parts but my dad said that he did not have any money so Allen said maybe we could go to the hard ware store and see if they will donate parts that we need. So we went to the Surplus City and we presented the mission to them and they said if we need any thing to make a list and come back on Monday to see if they could give us things on the list if they could, so boy do we have along list.

Prayers:
Pray that we get all the parts necessary to fix all the things that needs fixed on this base.
Pray that we can help ALLEN MIKE and SANDY to become missionary's.

Thank you for reading my letter

Hello everyone!

I hope that this finds all of you well and healthy. I am doing well
myself. I am staying at the Moore's right now, and about to start work
on Monday at Victory's daycare. There has been a load of things going
on with me, not really physically, but I have been thinking alot. Some
think that I am insane, which I don't really care, because I know that
there comes a point when people have to start making decisions for
themselves.

I am just learning to do that myself. I have never had to make any
decisions concerning my life for myself, as in with no ones help. My
parents have always been there to help me, and I think that me being
here in Alabama will help me to learn and mature in some areas that I
have never been able to.

I have been going to three different ministries, and the two that
stick out the most is the RAMP, Karen Wheaton Ministries, and Family
Christian Fellowship, just about 15 minutes from Pell City. Those
ministries are a couple of ministries that are really on fire, and
into discipleship training. I really think it's awesome that young
people can get that here, and it makes me want to bring that to so
many other communities.

A few members from the Moore's church still want to come down to
Mexico, but they aren't sure about the dates yet. I have spoken to
their Missionettes group, and a couple of the little girls parents
want to come. Then I will be helping the Moore's with their Children's
ministry at Victory Christian Center. They are needing more workers
and counselors for the children, because they are going out and
picking up between 15-30 children every Sunday, from different
communities. Please keep this ministry in your prayers.

That is all with me right now. The Moore's have been a great blessing
to me, and they are very encouraging. I just pray that I am as much a
blessing to them as they are to me.

Well, that is all for now folks, I don't really have much. Please keep
Mercy in y'alls prayers because she is trying to put together the
Global Village Project. I am going to be helping her as much as I can,
pray that she will do her best in everything, and be blessed as the
outcome of it.

God Bless,
frannie.

An American Pastor went to India one year,
And asked a local Pastor a question
"When you have someone who is kicked
Out of his home, and fired from the only job
He has ever known...what do you say to them?"
The local Pastor looks at him
and says with his Indian Accent:
"Ask him if he wants to be a Pastor!"

Mexico, Kids, people and you

Hey y'all, this is Frances back in Sierra Vista. I was sick the other day, but I'm okay now. Funny how your body acts when you go from the USA and the BHT and BTH added for packaging, the chemicals that let people leave things on the shelves for years, and then go to the field where vegetables just grow and you eat them. Lots of changes in bugs and the way the body operates. Matt is learning about changing diet and eating (or not eating) habits.

I hope that this finds you well. There really isn't that much to tell at this point, except that I am here in the USA, and am, well, healthy. I have to say though that I am very, very glad to be here. Seems like I am becoming very happy to be anywhere with vision in Jesus Christ. Now that I know where I am headed (missions) and that it happens everywhere, I am no longer wondering what to do or where to do it. As a missionary, I work at the mission here, there or over there, doing the same thing everywhere and am now amazed at others that don't know what to do or where to do it. Funny, huh?

On Thursday, we worked on the oven some at the MA base in Mexico, and we did some cleaning on the Scamp, upper room, and the main house. We didn't do the best job in the world, but it was getting us farther than being dirty...you know? That night though, at around 6 PM or so, Mike Clow came down from Phoenix. You remember him, WingsOfLove.org. I was so excited to see him again, because the last time that he came down was in March when his church's youth group came down to work on the 3rd property or where the Global Village / Old Folks Home is going to be. Of course, I was also expecting to see, if not all three, at least one of his daughters. But his daughters weren't able to come because all three are in school, and you know how that goes.

But anyway, Mike brought us a truckload of corn, some chairs, and some media, so that we could run some of the computer, and other equipment and stuff. It was all so awesome. After we had unloaded and ate dinner, I found out that he would only be staying a night, and would like to leave the next morning. So, after that, I called my dad, and I found out that dad and mom wanted Matt, Abram (the baby that needs the tube pulled out of his lungs, and his father) and I to go back up with Mike in his truck.

So we left Friday morning at around 7 or so. We headed towards Naco (Abraham's home). While traveling, after we stopped to eat lunch in Santa Anna (2 hours from Hermosillo). We ended up staying about an hour in Cuauhtemoc, because Abram's father (Israel) wanted us to meet his mother, father and siblings. So we did, and we at some more food. It was so awesome to be able to see them and meet them, because we found out that Israel's mother is a Christian, and she knows a pastor in Phoenix. So Mike and I got down the Pastor's information, and Mike will try to get a hold of him. 4/10/7/5 you know, making disciples. After we left Abram and his father in Cuauhtémoc (which is south of the border in Mexico just south, right before Naco Arizona), we could cross the border in Naco, and Mike dropped Matt and me off here in Sierra Vista.

I don't really have much else at the moment, except that our kitchen here has changed. Instead of a table in there, there is a little island. It's so awesome. Change is always good, especially for our small little kitchen. We need to clean up and get ready to move. We are working on the Starband for Mexico and then we have all we need to be in Mexico.

Our plans for Africa, South America and Asia are to travel and help as many people as we can. You can take a look at http://www.ai-inc.org and see where we are, what we are doing and where we are headed. If you want to come and join us in an outreach, or you want to encourage your church to, let us know.

Well, please continually keep us in your prayers, because we always need them. We are not here just to live life and do our own thing. There are families, people; babies that need help and cannot help themselves. I guess the only thing you can do to understand what we are doing is to imagine yourself in the ocean without help. We want to help and need to work as a team, you and us, helping those without help.

The challenges we are now facing at the Sierra Vista Base are:
Finishing the oven in MA: 50.00
Finishing the Snack Shop 150.00
Finishing the Starband (Mac Registration er something)
Spline shaft thingee for the blue van, 900.00
Bent Axels for the red van, 350.00 (driving in Mexico is rough)
Bent Rims on the red van 140.00
Timing Chain on the Honda 350.00
Though we have no van, which is newer than 10 years old, they gotta be fixed. You gotta figure that the biggest part of our life is to help others so most of the stuff we do or want, is for others.

Thank God for the big white van. Air Conditioning works. Heat works (in the mountains it is very, very cold)

We want to take teams to Africa and help John build a computer school and a Global Village, Liza build a Bible School in the Philippines, Dora build an orphanage in China. But we heed to work with you so you get the answers to your prayers and we can all work together.

God Bless,

Frannie.

Hello this is Matt; I have been doing very well. I was in Mexico for about 3 weeks and had been working on getting the base cleaned up. Not much has happened since the last time I wrote, but here's it is.

1. The Base in Miguel Aleman
2. Israel and Abram
3. Trip Back
4. Sierra Vista
5. Prayers

Miguel Aleman:
We had been working on inventory, cleaning, and the oven for the bakery. The base is shut down for 2 weeks, because it needs to have a lot of stuff done. Like the oven, snack shop, moving campers on to our other properties, computer classes, sewing classes, and English classes for the Triqui. So I'm sure we have our work cut out for us. That's what's going on at the base.

Israel and Abram
Sunday, A week ago, we picked up Israel and his son Abraham the kid that needs the surgery on the hole in his neck from Cuauhtémoc. We brought them to Miguel Aleman with us 'cause the boy had an appointment at the children's hospital in Hermosillo.
The next day Frances and I carried the boy and his father to the hospital so the boy could get checked out. We were waiting there for about 2 hours till the boy saw the Doctor. Well it came past that the insurance could not pay for the surgery and it will cost about 4 thousand dollars for the surgery. Israel still owes the hospital like 2 thousand for the tube that they put in his neck. So please pray for the family.

Trip Back
On Thursday night, while we were in MA, Mike Clow, from Phoenix, came down with a load of stuff from Sierra Vista. There was a bunch of corn and chairs. Mike was only there for a night, so Bobby called and wanted Frances and I to come up to the states for work. Since we were leaving, we thought it a good time to carry Israel and Abram back to their family 'cause it's on the way to Sierra Vista.
We arrived at the families' house around 2 pm and they invited us to eat so we ate with them and said our good byes and all that good stuff and found out that Israel's mother is a Christian. I was so stoked to find that out.

Sierra Vista
Well now I am in Sierra Vista and working on setting up the trailer in the back, so that people can stay in there. Mike Reid told us that his church wanted to support us monthly for 50 dollars. Please pray that God will bless them.

Prayers
1. Please pray for Abram, that he will get the finances that he needs for his surgery.
2. Pray for the Base in M.A., that the stuff that needs to be done there will get done.
3. The finances that we need for the oven, the snack shop, and the other two properties.
4. Please pray for the Salvation of the Triqui.

God Bless,

Matt.

Hello Bobby!

How are you? I hope and pray that you are all doing well. This is Mercy Watts and I am here in Mexico right now with my younger sister Rachel. We have been here now for we have been here now for 5 days with Frances and Matt Moore, but the they both left just this morning, so its just the two of us and Mance and his family.

News:
1. Our trip up.
2. Abraham and the tube in his neck.
3. The movie and the Triqui.
4. Prayers.

-Our trip up:
Frances, Matt and Mance came up to Naco, and then Matt and Frances drove to Sierra Vista from there and left Mance with pastor Trinny's place. My Dad and all staff had a team meeting in our living room about what was happening, what was wrong and what needed to be changed. My Grandpa was not feeling very well so someone deeded to stay with him, so my dad decided to let Glenn stay and the rest of us needed to start packing to come down.

We finally got everything together and packed by 11:00, so we got together and prayed and then Frances, Matt, Rachel and I got on the road and we headed to Wal-Mart to pickup the supplies we needed for Miguel Aleman. By the time we got done getting groceries, gas, and everything we needed it was around 1:00 p.m. We got to Naco at around 2 and then decided that well, all the drivers are pretty tired, so there is no point in leaving right then and then sleeping on the way, so we just stayed on pastor Trinny's' property and slept until 5:00a.m. And we had some coffee and then headed towards Cuauhtémoc. We picked up Abraham and his Dad, and headed down to Miguel Aleman, and we arrived around 7 hours after, but safely, so thank you all for your prayers.

-Abraham and the tube in his neck:
The main reason for this trip was to brig Abraham to the (Dif) which is the children's hospital in Hermosillo. The family was told that the appointment for Abraham was going to be the 10nth of January, and that he would need 3000 pesos to get his neck operated on. A week after that they said that they filed for insurance and that they didn't have to pay for the operation, but they needed 1000 pesos to get there and eat, so we said why don't we just give them a ride because we come down so frequently? And since they didn't have any money, they could stay and eat with us and we could drive them up to Hermosillo when it was time. And that's what we did. We took Abraham and his Dad to the DIF the day after we arrived just to find out that they moved the appointment to the 10nth of next month but they had no way of contacting them and letting them know and neither did they care. So that was pretty much it, they stayed until this morning and went back with Mr. Claw from Phoenix.
-The movies and the Triqui:
The base is now closed for two weeks. We are going to try and finish the oven, and clean everything, but the things we need off base. Because it looks like a junk yard from where the vehicles are parked and back, just because of donations that are either not any good, or something we have too much of, or anything like that. So we are mostly going to spend these two weeks doing that. Although we will keep visiting camps as often as possible and that is probably where we are going to give away the clothing that were just recently brought, and those that were stored for some reason.

Last night Juan Triqui came to the base and invited us to a Triqui service that they had this morning. The service started at 10:00 a.m. and we got there just before the service started. We were invited in, and its not what I expected, I thought it would be like church, but there were only about 7 people when we started and near the end we had about 12, plus kids, so that was really good. The whole service was in Triqui, but because we were there they had to translate sot hat we would understand. We started out with prayer, and then the pastor read a couple of verses out of 1st John, and then translated into Spanish every couple of words. After he was through, Juan Triqui pulled out his Triqui Bible and opened it and started talking and it was all in Triqui, so I don't know if he was actually reading it or not. The Triqui pastor and Juan were standing in the corner of the room and the rest of the people were just sitting all around if not on a chair, on the ground, on a pot, a bucket or what ever they could find to sit on. So it was interesting. After Juan spoke he invited Mance and I to give our testimony and sing a couple of songs, so Mance stood up and gave his testimony, and then I did, and then we sang a song in Spanish, I have decided to follow Jesus in Triqui and then Rachel and I sang I it in English. The pastor closed the service with three or four songs in Triqui, and then we just started praying for different families and sick babies. In English, Triqui and Spanish. It was really cool. We brought the church 5 sacks of corn, and just before we left they were putting corn in buckets, pots and different things to give to the families that were there. And that was it.

-Prayers:
1. When we took Abraham to the hospital, they started to cover the whole with some medical tape, because the nurse said that he needed to get use to breathing through his nose for a while before they operated, so please pray that he will do well with that, and that the next time we come up, they will have no further problems with giving him his operation.
2. Another reason the base is shut down for the two weeks is that the teachings on the bible and everything is going on in Spanish, and half the people that come here don't even speak Spanish, and we haven't found anyone that wants to step up to the plate, so please help us pray for someone, that is willing to teach his own people in his own language.
3. My 18th birthday is coming on August 28th, and since I am the one in charge of taking video and pictures and cutting them and importing, I need a Ibook, that can play and cut DVD's, and that has a lot of space, plus a hard drive, and a digital camera. So please help me pray for that this year.
4. We are closed for two weeks and we would like to get the base and the oven done by then, so please help us pray that we wont get that many problems and people and things will cooperate and things will go as planned.
5. We will continue going to camps, so please pray for the hearts of the people and especially for the camps leaders, that they will be open to us and give permission every time we ask to come in to show the movies.

Thank you for reading my letter, and thank you so much for helping us move forward by your prayers and support.

Thank you, and God Bless you.

Mercy.
