Hidden people are hidden because they don’t want to be found. The only people who can find them are disciples of Jesus Christ. Though there are many reasons they don’t want to be found, an antagonism toward Jesus is rarely one of the reasons. The introduction of Jesus to the lost is well documented in many other publications and well covered by other evangelistic organizations. We are interested in reaching the unreached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and this often takes a bit more work than you basic outreach methods. There are many ways to find the hidden people, if you want to find them. People groups that are hidden from the Gospel of Jesus Christ are hidden because of cultural, religious or political decisions and as they came to the area you are in, they came because they want to change their life, their neighborhood and sometimes their nationality or political affiliation. You may see someone and they may be from a foreign country or offer some hint to their background. Symbols, dress and mannerism can point you to someone who needs to hear about Christ. Often, the fist step in finding out about the people is that of love. If you love them, you will be able to talk to them and find out where they are from and what language is the language of their motherland. We work with many evangelists from around the world and there are many things you can do to open the door to conversations and the salvation of the lost. All of the work that needs to be done to reach the hidden people still hinges on your desire to reach out to the ends of the earth. Bobby and Jo Pollard are evangelists and they have a unique method of approaching people because of their intense desire to reach the lost. Bobby and Jo use bent pennies. These bent pennies have the 10 commandments stamped on them. They are flattened, curved and then stamped. Bobby and Jo have taught their evangelism methods and they are in love with the Lord and the work of reaching the lost. In our effort to reach the hidden and unreached peoples, we do our best to make friends of those that do not know the Lord and need to be reached. Gospel Recordings has recordings of the Gospel or stories and training materials in over 5,000 languages. The Jesus movie has currently been translated into 739 languages. With well over 5,000 languages on record at Gospel Recordings, the Jesus movie has a way to go. So, since you now know that right down the street, or maybe even next door, there is someone who has not heard of Christ, or may even be from a hidden people group. You can open the door to speak to them by asking them where they are from, where their ancestors are from and then do your research and provide them with the Gospel, a Jesus Video or a Christian story and watch the Lord do what He does best, change lives. We know that God made us, we walked away and God will do whatever it takes to get us back home. The question is, do we want to do what the Lord has asked us to do? When the Lord told us that if we love Him, we should obey Him, then we cannot ignore His command to go to the ends of the earth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So, how do we reach the unreached? First, step out and meet people. Second, get to know them, where they are from and what it is they want for their future. Then, give them the Gospel in their own language so they can talk to God and make decisions about their future and what God means in their lives.
